Coach Stanczak is entering his second year as a teacher and coach.  He teaches government and is an assistant football and basketball coach for Lake Travis High School. 

At Texas State University, Coach Stanczak served an internship with the men’s basketball program under head coach Danny Kaspar and received his B.S. in Applied Sociology. 

He also has a 8-year-old daughter named Brooklyn Stanczak that will be entering the third grade and competes in gymnastics.

Jonathan Coats

Freshman Coach & Varsity Assistant

Coach Coats graduated from UT Permian Basin in 2006 with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies.  He grew up in Austin.  He played for Austin Anderson and went to the 1995 State Championship. Coach Coats has been coaching for 12 years and just recently got married this past summer.  In addition to coaching our Freshmen basketball players, he coaches the running backs on the Lake Travis High School Football team and has been involved in all 6 LTHS State Championship wins.  Coach Coats likes to play guitar, go to movies and play golf. He teaches Geometry.

Clint Baty

Head Coach

Coach Baty attended University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, San Jacinto Junior College, Austin Community College, University of Louisiana at Monroe, and Texas State University.  He graduated in 1992 with a BBA in Accounting.  In 1994, Coach Baty returned to Texas State to obtain his Teaching Certificate.  He played college basketball for Mary Hardin-Baylor and played in the Junior College World Series (and won!) while attending San Jacinto Junior College. 

Coach Baty began his coaching career in Marble Falls, where he coached basketball for 13 years, 5 as their Head Coach.  While in Marble Falls, he had the honor of coaching the all-time leading scorer in Marble Falls history.  In 2006, he coached Marble Falls to the regional tournament.  In 2008, Coach Baty moved to Lake Travis as the Freshmen coach.  From 2009-2011, he coached the JV team and finished the 2010-11 season as undefeated champs (25-0).  With the 2011-12 season being his first as Head Coach at Lake Travis, Coach Baty led the Varsity as undefeated District Champs, Bi-District Champs, Area Champs, and Regional Quarterfinalists.  He was also named District Coach of the Year.  Coach Baty successfully took on the challenge in the 2012-13 season of stepping up from 4A to 5A to win the District 15-5A Championship as well as Bi-District Championship.  In 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 (Class 6A), Coach Baty and his staff led the CAVS to their 3rd & 4th straight District and Bi-District title.  In 2015-16 and 2016-17 Lake Travis  was Bi-District Champs, Area Champs, and Regional Quarterfinalists. This past year the CAVS made a deep run into the playoffs winning Bi-District, Area, Reg Qtr, and Reg Semi Final.  

Coach Baty is married with 2 children.  His wife, Leslie, is an elementary school principal.  His daughter is an LT alum and graduated from college at UMHB.  His son is a senior at Lake Travis High School.  Coach Baty enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and traveling.  In addition to his head coaching duties, Coach Baty also teaches BIM at LTHS.



Jeremy Gamez

Freshmen Head Coach & Varsity Assistant

Coach Gamez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology.  While at UT, Coach Gamez worked in the UT Athletic Department, closely working with the football and basketball teams.  Coach Gamez has 17 years of experience (2 as a Head Basketball Coach).  He began his coaching career at Marble Falls Middle School where he coached football and basketball.  After 2 years at the middle school, he began to coach at the high school and became Coach Baty's basketball assistant.  After 11 years of coaching in Marble Falls, Coach Gamez became the Head Basketball coach at Karnes City High School.  While at Karnes City, Coach Gamez led the Badgers to the playoffs in 2014.  

Coach Gamez is married with with two kids, Jackson & Isabella.  His wife, Angela, is an Assistant Principal at Dripping Springs High School.  His son, Jackson, is 5 years old and just started his first year of Kindergarten.  His daughter, Isabella, is 3 years old.  In addition to coaching basketball, Coach Gamez also coaches Track and teaches Chemistry at LTHS.
